“Windbreakers”

Sometimes the seemingly simple paintings are my favorite.  “Windbreakers” is one of those.  The detail of the geese was my main concern, but the hard part was leaving out what I didn’t want to distract from the main subject.  Sometimes leaving things out of a painting is harder than putting things in.

It’s a reminder to me that God created the simple things as well as the complex.  If we look deeper than the surface we may see that none of it is simple,  it’s all created with a wisdom and creativity we cannot understand.

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

Revelation 4:11
